TRAVEL SMART SCHOOL



Churchill Students have been encouraged to participate in the Travel Smart program throughout the year. The aim of the program is to;

Raise awareness about the impacts of high car use and encourage the use of transport alternatives


Provide students with the skills and motivation to travel more independently, increase their physical activity levels and improve air quality while reducing greenhouse emissions


Build school, student and community capacity to develop and implement the
TravelSmart Action Plans.

Each week, every class is assessed on their use of the following means of travel;
Walking, riding, bus and/or car pooling to and from school The class with the best record for that week is awarded the 'Churchill Travel Smart Purple Boot' Trophy on parade.

P&C

P&C

Churchill State School P&C is a non profit organization made up of parents of the children attending Churchill State School as well as any interested citizens who wish to belong to and work for the aims of the association.  The President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are the only elected members.

The P&C meets every 3rd Monday night at 6.30pm in the staff room.  All parents are welcome.

 

Churchill State School P&C is committed to supporting the school by contributing funds towards facilities, school resources, books, rewards day and other ongoing costs. 

 

The P&C also operates the Tuckshop and Before & After School Care

 

Churchill State School P&C assists in providing a better place of education for children in our local community.

Fundraising for Term 1 is a Hot Cross Bun & Pie Drive.  Order forms to go home soon. Delivery day Thursday, 22nd March.  Volunteers required to help with packing.
